Daniela Pacella

Daniela Pacella, PhD in Artificial Intelligence, is a researcher in Medical Statistics at the University of Naples Federico II. She focuses on integrating AI and deep learning with traditional medical statistics to advance healthcare research and support professionals and patients.

Gianluca Pellino

Gianluca Pellino, MD, PhD in Translational Medicine, is Associate Professor of Surgery at the Università degli Studi della Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”. He has extensive experience in collaborative surgical research, engaging young surgeons and medical students in international multicentre studies. Co-founder of ItSurg and former co-chair of EuroSurg, he serves on multiple national and international committees, including Y-ESCP, Y-ECCO, ESCP, SIC, AGGEI, and SICCR.

Mauro Podda is Associate Professor of Surgery (MED/18 06/C1) at the University of Cagliari. He holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery (110/110 honors) and specialized in General Surgery (50/50 honors). Licensed to practice in Italy and the UK, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 2021. His experience spans clinical practice, emergency surgery, and HPB/Upper GI surgery, including roles at the University Hospital of Cagliari and a research fellowship at the University of Dundee (UK).
